The mechanical engineer will be responsible for production planning, process control, equipment reliability and shop-floor supervision for copper and other non-ferrous product manufacturing. The role requires hands-on experience in casting, extrusion, drawing, finishing and industrial machine maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and execute daily and monthly production schedules based on order priorities, machine capacity and material availability.
- Supervise melting, casting, billet preparation, extrusion, drawing, straightening, cutting and finishing operations.
- Monitor critical process parameters to ensure dimensional accuracy, surface quality and required mechanical properties.
- Control production output, yield, rejection, scrap generation, cycle time and material consumption.
- Identify and resolve process defects, equipment abnormalities and production bottlenecks.
- Coordinate preventive,



predictive and breakdown maintenance of furnaces, extrusion presses, drawing machines, hydraulic systems and auxiliary equipment.
- Improve machine availability, productivity, process capability and overall equipment effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, process sheets, maintenance schedules and production records.
- Lead operators, technicians and shop-floor personnel, allocate manpower and monitor shift performance.
- Coordinate with quality, maintenance, stores, procurement and management to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE requirements, housekeeping and 5S standards.
- Support current product development, process trials, tooling improvements and capacity-enhancement projects.
