Dutt Engicon is experienced in hydro testing, hydro jetting, chemical cleaning of exchangers, and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT). The company also specializes in valve calibration (PSV, gate valve, NRV and other valves), condition monitoring, shutdown maintenance, and long-term AMC contracts. Team members work in a dynamic environment supporting both new projects and ongoing operations.
Role Description This is a full-time, in office Mechanical Engineer - Inspection role based in Ahmedabad.
The Mechanical
Engineer - Inspection will perform day-to-day inspection of mechanical equipment, piping, and systems to ensure compliance with applicable standards, specifications, and safety requirements.
Responsibilities include planning and executing inspection activities, reviewing technical drawings and documents, preparing inspection reports, and coordinating with project and maintenance teams to address findings. The role involves supporting hydro testing, NDT activities, and condition monitoring,
as well as participating in shutdown maintenance and revamping projects. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide technical input during troubleshooting, and contribute to continuous improvement of inspection procedures and quality control processes.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with practical knowledge of industrial equipment and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in Machine Design and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for interpreting and reviewing mechanical drawings and specifications.
- Experience with Project Management, including planning inspection activities, tracking progress, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Exposure to Research and Development (R&D;) or continuous improvement initiatives related to inspection methods, materials, or reliability engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISO) and familiarity with NDT and hydro testing practices is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to document findings clearly and accurately.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work safely in on-site industrial environments.
- Prior experience in inspection, maintenance, or shutdown projects within manufacturing, oil and gas, or process industries is preferred.
