Role Description The Mechanical Design Engineer (SPM) will be responsible for designing special purpose machines (SPM) and mechanical components, from concept through detailed drawings, using CAD tools. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, creating 3D models and manufacturing drawings, performing basic engineering calculations, and ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and quality standards.

The role also involves coordinating with production and vendors, supporting prototyping and commissioning, and updating documentation as designs evolve. This is a full time, on-site position based in Manesar,



requiring close interaction with shop floor teams and regular involvement in design reviews and technical problem-solving.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Mechanical Engineering and Design Engineering, with a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and machine elements.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Machine Design and Product Design, including experience with special purpose machines or industrial equipment.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor) for 3D modeling and detailed drafting.
- Candidates should possess practical knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials selection, GD&T;, and basic tolerance analysis.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, read engineering drawings, and communicate effectively with production, vendors, and clients.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in an on-site engineering environment.
- Prior experience in SPM design, industrial automation, or machine tool design will be an added advantage.
