Qualification and Key Skills Required
- Education: B.Tech / B.E. or M.Tech / M.E. or equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering Or
- Automobile Engineering with relevant experience.
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in machine design, heavy structural development.
- Vehicle Customization: Proven practical experience in vehicular modification, customized chassis/body integration, layout optimization, and automotive fabrication techniques.
- Component Fitting & Integration: Hands-on expertise in physical mounting, component layout, structural hardware fitting, and the integration of complex electromechanical systems into mobile platforms.
- CAD & Simulation: High proficiency in 3D CAD modeling software such as SolidWorks along with a strong understanding of structural analysis (FEA) and kinematic design verification.
- Manufacturing Processes:
Deep understanding of material science, component testing, metal fabrication techniques (welding, sheet metal, CNC processing), and manufacturing process planning for scalability.
Job Profile & Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, design, and develop docking, or deployment systems integrated cleanly into a mobile Ground Control Station (GCS) vehicle.
- Perform structural, kinematic, and vibration analyses (FEA) to ensure system stability, weight distribution balance, and structural integrity during vehicle transit and field deployment.
- Lead the practical physical mapping, mounting, and hardware alignment of drone docking bays, ruggedized equipment racks, power distribution frameworks, and peripheral subsystems inside the vehicle cabin/chassis.
- Oversee fabrication, assembly, component fitting, and physical troubleshooting of custom mechanical assemblies, collaborating closely with workshop technicians and external fabricators.
- Coordinate with electronics, electrical, and software engineering teams to guarantee seamless systems integration, proper wire routing paths, thermal management, and robust environmental shielding.
- Ensure all custom vehicular adaptations and mechanical layouts strictly comply with safety standards, regulatory guidelines, RTO requirements, and institute quality norms.
- Provide comprehensive technical documentation, including high-fidelity production CAD drawings, detailed design specifications, bill of materials (BOM), standard operating procedures (SOPs) for integration, and validation testing reports.
