Role & responsibilities
- Conduct patient consultations and obtain detailed medical histories.
- Perform physical examinations and assess patients' medical conditions.
- Diagnose common illnesses and medical conditions.
- Prescribe medications and treatment plans as appropriate.
- Order and interpret relevant laboratory tests and diagnostic investigations.
- Provide emergency and first-line medical care when required.
- Monitor patients' progress and modify treatment plans when necessary.
- Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records.
- Educate patients and their families about diseases, medications, treatment, and preventive healthcare.
- Follow established clinical protocols, hospital policies, and medical guidelines.
- Maintain skilled and ethical standards in all patient interactions.
- Work collaboratively with nurses, specialists,
technicians, and other healthcare staff.
- Participate in clinical meetings, training programs, and continuing medical education.
- Ensure proper infection-control and patient-safety practices.
Required Qualifications
- MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) from a recognized medical institution.
- Valid medical registration with the relevant medical council/authority.
- Completion of internship as required by applicable regulations.
- Current authorization/licence to practice medicine.
Preferred candidate profile
- Fresh MBBS graduates/interns may be considered, depending on the position and applicable regulations.
- Previous experience in a hospital, clinic, emergency department, or primary-care setting is an advantage.
