Level: Associate or equivalent

As an Associate QA Engineer within our Quality Assurance as a Service (QAaaS) offering, you will execute end-to-end manual testing across custom and web applications. You will help ensure releases meet defined requirements through structured test design, disciplined execution, and clear defect reporting.

Work you’ll do

- Review business and functional requirements and convert them into test scenarios and test cases using standard templates.
- Prepare and maintain test data to support planned testing.
- Execute manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by validating readiness, assisting with defect triage, and re-testing fixes (as needed).
- Document test evidence and results clearly (steps, outcomes, and supporting screenshots/logs where applicable).
- Log, track, and re-test defects to closure using agreed tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar).
- Provide regular status updates on testing progress, defects, and blockers to the team.

Qualifications

Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

- 1–6 years of experience in manual software testing (web and/or custom applications).
- Working knowledge of SDLC and STLC.
- Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and clear communication.
- Ability to work effectively in Agile teams (or similar iterative delivery models).
- Good to Have-
- Basic SQL for data validation and verification.
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., Zephyr, TestRail, or similar).

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

- Hyderabad/Chennai
