- Responsible for strategic sourcing, procurement and costing of raw materials, polymers, cable compounds
- Develop reliable and cost-competitive suppliers for critical raw materials and compounds.
- Evaluate alternate materials, grades and suppliers in coordination with Quality, R&D; and Production teams.
- Manage RFQs, quotation comparison, commercial negotiations, purchase contracts and long-term supply arrangements.
- Procurement of Cable Compounds & Polymers
- Handle sourcing and commercial management of various cable compounds such as:

- PVC Insulation Compounds

- PVC Sheathing Compounds
- FR PVC / Flame Retardant Compounds
- FRLS / Flame Retardant Low Smoke Compounds
- LSZH / Low Smoke Zero Halogen Compounds
- HFFR / Halogen Free Flame Retardant Compounds
- XLPE / Cross-Linked Polyethylene Compounds

- Silane XLPE Compounds

- PE / Polyethylene Compounds




- LDPE / LLDPE / HDPE materials, depending on cable construction
- MDPE compounds, where applicable
- Semiconductive Compounds, where applicable to cable category

- Masterbatch / Colour Masterbatch
- UV-resistant / weather-resistant compounds, where required
- Understand compound specifications, application, grades, technical requirements and their impact on cable quality and manufacturing performance.
- Source relevant polymer/raw-material categories such as PVC resin, polyethylene grades, masterbatches, plasticizers, fillers, stabilizers, flame-retardant additives and other compounding materials, where these are within the company's procurement scope.
