Primary Job Functions

Education and Experience

This role would suit a highly self-motivated, results-oriented individual who is comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment and has the vision and experience to develop and manage solar power projects development. To succeed in this role you will possess a combination of leadership abilities and detail-oriented execution skills.

A graduate level qualification in Engineering and MBA with at-least 3 years of experience in the Energy/Renewable market segment and a total experience of about 7-8 years

Specific experience on Solar energy and is a plus.

Sound technical background.

Experience in acquisition of land directly or through aggregators in India is a huge plus

Negotiation and execution skills at an external facing level,



with understanding of Contract terms prevalent in the India market.

Strong interpersonal skills; excellent written and oral communications skills.

Experience in external facing role, including relationship development and management with government officers and land developers

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as a successful track record as a team player.

Demonstrated ability to coordinate and multi-task a variety of activities including cross-functional interaction internally.

Significant attention to detail.

Essential Responsibilities

Securing land and permits for such govt issued tenders and for Bilateral PPAs under Open Access

Actively engage will all the SMEs within First Solar and secure all the approvals for participation in bidding

Lead the EPC contractor selection in-coordination with the Engineering team and Contracts management within the approved cost budgets

Manage the commercial aspects of the EPC contract from project conception to commissioning to ensure the profitability of the project





Support the Project Finance team in providing the necessary inputs on the projects and complying with the covenants and conditions subsequent of the financing agreements.

Work with the Business Development team to identify the key markets for bilateral PPAs under Open Access. Provide input/support to the govt affairs/ regulatory team on the changes in policies/ regulations required to enable /increase the size of addressable market

Bidding for RFP s and tenders under national and state level policies
