Primary Position Objectives

- Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals

- Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, gate processes, and shipping.

Maintain a safe and healthy work workplace by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations

Role & responsibilities

- Train and manage a warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals

- Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics

- Review and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met

- Ensuring timely updating of Operating Systems (WMS etc.)

- Supervise daily activities of the warehouse/ yard operations, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service





- Schedule and oversee warehouse team to meet the demands of the customer and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime

Meet regularly with operations leads to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention

Preferred candidate profile

- Graduate in any stream with minimum of-5 years of experience in customer relationships and sales functions in a FTWZ/ SEZ / Logistics / Freight Forwarding Company or in Supply Chain Management dept. of Major MNCs.

- Valuable written & oral communication skills backed by strong listening skills to understand underlying customer needs tap hidden opportunities and make a compelling case within and outside the organization for new product / revenue streams.

- Knowledge of client, Customs, and regulatory requirements.

- Excellent Team building capability

- Good interpersonal skills, excellent team building capabilities, planning, co-ordination and decision making skills.

- Good Knowledge of EXIM/Shipping documentation

Six Sigma certifications, SCM courses and trainings are desirable.
