Role Description The Manager On Duty is a full-time, on-site role located at KIMS Hospitals in Thrissur. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day hospital operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth coordination between clinical and non-clinical departments. The Manager On Duty will monitor patient flow, address escalated patient and attendant concerns, and help maintain service quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

- Strong hospital operations and administrative management skills, with experience coordinating multiple departments in a clinical setting.




- Proficiency in communication, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management to handle patient, attendant, and staff interactions effectively.
- Ability to make decisions under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage shift-based responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of healthcare quality standards, safety protocols, and basic regulatory and accreditation requirements applicable to hospitals.
- Relevant educational background such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or duty manager role in a hospital or large healthcare facility is strongly preferred.
- Comfort working in rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays, as per hospital operational requirements.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills, including preparing reports, incident logs, and shift handover notes.
- Proficiency with hospital information systems and basic computer applications (MS Office, email, and reporting tools).
- The Manager on Duty shall take care of ED operations, shall be well versed with MLC, brought dead, mortuary policies and shall know to counsel patients. MOD shall have positive communication and coordination skill, shall be good at team work.
