About the Role The Lighting Application Support Engineer – Hospitality will play a critical role in strengthening Jaquar Lighting’s hospitality business by providing end-to-end technical and application support to the sales and project teams across India.

The role will act as the key interface between sales, product management, design, factory, and customers to ensure timely technical support, optimized lighting solutions, faster response to project enquiries, and superior customer engagement.

The ideal candidate should possess strong lighting application knowledge, project coordination capability, technical understanding, and the ability to work closely with architects, consultants, designers, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical & Application Support

- Evaluate hospitality lighting enquiries, BOQs, tender documents, and project specifications to recommend suitable lighting solutions.
- Identify technical equivalents, alternative solutions, and value-engineered product options aligned with project requirements.
- Understand project drawings, layouts, and client requirements to prepare technical presentations and lighting solution proposals.
- Support architects, consultants, designers, and internal teams with technical product recommendations and application guidance.
- Develop hospitality-focused solution ready reckoners and application reference documents for sales teams.
- Build and maintain a repository of project references, credentials, testimonials, and hospitality case studies.

2. Project Coordination & Execution Support

- Coordinate with internal teams for decorative lighting and customized product requirements to ensure timely customer response.
- Work closely with design, sourcing, factory, and project teams for customization approvals and execution support.
- Ensure adherence to customer timelines through proactive coordination with regional sales teams and Key Account Managers.
- Support sampling coordination and ensure timely dispatch and delivery.




- Track project progress and support closure of operational bottlenecks to reduce turnaround time (TAT).

3. Sales & Product Enablement

- Act as the technical bridge between the sales organization and product management teams.
- Develop impactful sales support tools including: Product presentations
- Technical comparison sheets
- Application guides
- Competitive benchmarking documents
- Customer solution decks
- Conduct technical and application training sessions for regional sales teams.
- Support product launch readiness through technical enablement and customer-facing content.
- Capture market intelligence, customer feedback, and specification trends to support future product development.

4. Project Database & Business Analytics

- Maintain an accurate and live hospitality project funnel through CRM and internal tracking systems.
- Prepare periodic reports covering:
- Pipeline status
- Win/loss analysis
- Project conversion trends
- Product movement
- Develop and maintain a pan-India database of customized decorative lighting solutions executed across projects.
- Create and manage project reference databases for internal sales and design support.
- Provide analytical inputs for current product development and customization opportunities

Competencies

Qualifications and Experience

- Engineering Graduate (Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical preferred)
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in:
- Lighting application support
