Role Description The Manager – Environment & Pollution will oversee environmental management and pollution control activities across Rashmi Group’s operations in Kharagpur. This full time, on-site role involves monitoring emissions, effluents, and waste management, ensuring adherence to environmental standards and regulatory requirements. The role includes preparing and reviewing environmental impact assessments, maintaining documentation for statutory clearances, and coordinating with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.

The manager will develop and implement environmental policies and EHS practices, conduct environmental audits and inspections, drive corrective actions, and lead initiatives to reduce environmental footprint and improve sustainability performance.



The role also requires training and awareness programs for employees on environmental compliance and health and safety practices.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of Environment Health and Safety (EHS) practices and environmental issues relevant to heavy industry and mining; candidates should possess these skills to manage risks and promote safe, sustainable operations.

Expertise in environmental compliance and environmental policy; candidates should possess these skills to interpret regulations, design policies, and ensure adherence to local, national, and international standards.

Experience in environmental impact assessment; candidates should possess this skill to evaluate project impacts, prepare EIA reports, and support approvals from regulatory authorities.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.

Prior experience in environment management within steel, cement, mining, or similar industrial sectors, including pollution control and regulatory liaison.

Proficiency in environmental monitoring tools, data analysis, and report preparation; ability to use relevant software and maintain accurate records.

Strong communication, stakeholder management, and training skills to work with cross-functional teams and promote environmental awareness.

Proven ability to lead projects, conduct audits, implement corrective actions, and continuously improve environmental performance.
