We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Section Head to lead our plant engineering and maintenance operations. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring maximum operational uptime, reliability, and safety across all food processing, freezing, and packaging machinery. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems within a food manufacturing setting, with a proven track record of managing preventive maintenance, emergency breakdowns, and facility utility management.

• Equipment Reliability Lead end-to-end maintenance operations for processing lines (mixers, dough sheeters, par-baking ovens, portioning/cutting equipment, and snack processing lines). Oversee the continuous operation and troubleshooting of cold chain systems, including blast freezers, 1. Preventive &

- Predictive Maintenance Formulate, implement, and track daily, weekly, and monthly Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules for all production machinery and utilities. Establish predictive maintenance protocols to minimize unexpected operational downtime and optimize machinery lifespan. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on recurring technical breakdowns and implement long-term engineering solutions.

- Facility Operations Oversee utility equipment operations, including air compressors, steam , diesel generators (DG sets), and main electrical panels/substations. Monitor energy, power, and fuel consumption across the factory floor, initiating energy efficiency and cost-optimization measures.
- Food Safety, Hygiene &
- Safety Compliance Ensure all engineering and maintenance activities strictly follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Management Systems (HACCP/FSSAI). Enforce food-grade lubricant usage, hygienic equipment design principles,



and strict contamination control during maintenance interventions. Drive workplace safety (EHS) procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), hot work permits, and regular machine safeguarding checks.

- Spare Parts Management Supervise, assign shifts to, and mentor a team of mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration technicians. Maintain optimum inventory levels of critical machinery spare parts, consumables, and tools to ensure minimal breakdown lead times. Manage vendor contracts, external service technicians, and machinery OEMs for overhauls or specialized repairs.

Qualifications &

Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Refrigeration &

- Air Conditioning (HVAC), or Mechatronics.

Experience: 5 to 8+ years of maintenance experience in a food manufacturing plant, with at least 2 to 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role (experience with frozen food, bakery, or cold storage infrastructure is highly preferred).

Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of industrial refrigeration (ammonia or freon systems, blast freezers, cold rooms). Hands-on proficiency with electrical schematics, PLCs, VFDs, motors, pneumatics, and hydraulics. In-depth understanding of utility management (compressors, boilers, power distribution). Familiarity with food-grade maintenance standards and audit compliance (FSSAI, ISO 22000, HACCP).

Skills: Strong leadership and team management, problem-solving under pressure, excellent analytical capabilities, and clear communication skills in English and local languages.

Work Environment &

Physical Demands On-site position requiring presence on the factory floor and inside utility and refrigeration plant rooms. Must be willing to respond to critical facility or equipment emergencies outside regular shift hours if needed.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
