We are hiring a Maintenance Incharge with mandatory experience in the seafood processing industry. The role involves leading maintenance operations, ensuring maximum equipment uptime, and maintaining utilities and processing machinery in a seafood processing plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily maintenance activities across seafood processing units
- Ensure uninterrupted operation of ammonia refrigeration plant
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime
- Maintain documentation of maintenance logs and compliance reports
- Implement safety protocols and train staff on equipment handling
- Monitor utility systems (water, electricity, refrigeration, boilers) for efficiency
- Coordinate with production and QA teams for smooth workflow
- Manage spare parts inventory and ensure timely procurement
- Lead maintenance team, assign tasks, and evaluate performance
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and industry standards
- Conduct root cause analysis of recurring issues and implement corrective actions
- Support external audits and inspections related to plant maintenance
- Oversee installation and commissioning of new machinery/equipment
- Ensure energy conservation practices and cost-effective maintenance solutions
- Prepare periodic MIS reports on maintenance activities and expenditures
- Liaise with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance tasks
- Ensure 24/7 readiness of critical systems to support seafood processing operations
Candidate Profile
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 5–10 years of maintenance experience in a seafood processing plant is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience with seafood processing machinery and refrigeration systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, leadership, and team management skills.
