Responsibilities

Support host network connectivity. Administer TCP/IP and SNA infrastructure.

Support external customer and partner connectivity.

Troubleshoot network performance issues.

Maintain availability of mission-critical network services. Support modernization and protocol migration initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

Required Technical and Professional Expertise and SNA administration.

Expertise in DNS, IP routing, network security, packet analysis, connectivity diagnostics, and network performance tuning.





Experience with problem determination, communications infrastructure support, and enterprise network troubleshooting.

Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019, VMware ESX, and public/private cloud environments, including on-premises to cloud migrations.

Solid analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills in production environments.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

Experience with IBM z/OS Communications Server, VTAM configuration, Enterprise Extender (HPR/IP), and SNA networking.

Knowledge of TLS/SSL, encryption, firewall management, and secure network communications.

Experience with Wireshark, OSA/Sniffer, NetView, OMEGAMON, and enterprise monitoring tools. Familiarity with OSA-Express, HiperSockets, Parallel Sysplex, and IBM Z networking technologies. Experience in network performance monitoring, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and high - availability architectures.

Understanding of ITIL Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.

Experience with automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), vulnerability management, Active Directory, and ADFS.

Strong stakeholder management, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills
