Job Title: Mainframe Modernization Expert

Location: Bengaluru

Experience: 12+ Years

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Modernization Expert to lead the transformation of legacy IBM Mainframe applications into up-to-date, cloud-enabled architectures. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Mainframe technologies, AWS Cloud, modernization strategies, migration projects, and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end mainframe modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
- Analyze legacy applications and define modernization roadmaps.
- Support migration teams by identifying application dependencies and resolving technical issues.
- Modernize batch processing, job scheduling, and release management processes.
- Develop Python automation scripts for testing, data validation, and reporting.
- Collaborate with architects, development teams, and business stakeholders to deliver modernization projects.
- Validate application functionality, performance, and stability after migration.
- Ensure secure, scalable, and reliable cloud-based solutions.

Required Skills




- Strong experience in IBM Mainframe , Mainframe Modernization , Legacy Modernization , and Migration Projects .
- Hands-on expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM , and Mainframe Architecture.
- Experience with AWS Cloud and cloud migration strategies.
- Knowledge of API Enablement and DevOps practices.
- Experience with IBM MQ , FTP/SFTP/CFT , RACF , batch scheduling, workload management, and JCL optimization.
- Exposure to Rocket Enterprise Analyzer , Rocket Enterprise Developer , and Rocket Enterprise Server .
- Proficiency in Python for automation, testing, and data validation.
- Experience with Control-M or T-Systems Advanced Job Management (AJM) is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Industry Experience Candidates with experience in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance (BFSI), Airlines, Government, Telecom, or other enterprise organizations running IBM Mainframe environments will be preferred.
