DME Fresher – Roles & Responsibilities

- Assist engineers in day-to-day manufacturing and production activities.
- Support machine setup, operation, and process monitoring as per work instructions.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Perform dimensional inspection using measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and gauges.
- Ensure product quality by following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality standards.
- Record production, inspection, and process data accurately.
- Assist in troubleshooting basic machine and production issues and escalate major problems.
- Support preventive maintenance activities to ensure smooth machine operations.
- Follow 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and workplace safety practices.
- Ensure compliance with company quality, safety, and environmental policies.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to achieve production targets.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce defects.




- Handle materials and components carefully to prevent damage and maintain traceability.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Learn and adapt to recent manufacturing technologies, processes, and equipment.

Skills Required

- Basic knowledge of Mechanical Engineering principles.
- Understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T; fundamentals.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, casting, fabrication, or assembly.
- Familiarity with quality tools and measuring instruments.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office).
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork.
- Willingness to work in shifts and manufacturing environments.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.

Eligibility

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME)
- Freshers or up to 1 year of experience
- Basic understanding of manufacturing and quality processes
- Internship or industrial training experience is an added advantage.
