Role Description The LIC Advisor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai, focused on helping individuals and families understand and choose appropriate life insurance solutions. On a day-to-day basis, the LIC Advisor will meet prospective clients, explain LIC products, assess customer needs, and recommend suitable policies.
The role includes building and maintaining long-term relationships, following up on leads, managing policy renewals, and providing post-sales support. The LIC Advisor will also participate in training sessions, stay updated on product features and regulatory changes,
and coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate documentation and timely service delivery. This position requires consistent on-ground engagement, proactive outreach, and a customer-centric approach.
Qualifications
- Strong Human Resources (HR) and HR Management skills to support structured hiring, onboarding, and advisor engagement.
- Effective Communication skills, including the ability to explain complex insurance concepts clearly and build trust with diverse clients.
- Knowledge of Labor Relations to ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
- Experience in Training, with the ability to participate in and benefit from ongoing product, sales, and compliance training programs.
- Proven customer service orientation, with attention to detail, ethical conduct, and a commitment to long-term client relationships.
- Basic understanding of financial products or willingness to learn, preferably with experience in insurance, banking, or financial services.
- Minimum educational qualification of a high school diploma; a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is an advantage.
- Ability to work in office in Mumbai, manage field activities, and meet performance targets and deadlines.
