Role Description The Lecturer in Diploma Civil Engineering will teach diploma-level civil engineering courses, conduct tutorials and practical sessions, and guide learners in laboratory work and project activities.

Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, developing teaching materials, using modern pedagogical tools and classroom technologies, and evaluating student performance through assessments and examinations. The lecturer will mentor students on academic and career development, support departmental activities,



and contribute to academic events such as workshops, seminars, and technical festivals. The role also involves participation in curriculum delivery aligned with Gujarat Technological University guidelines and engaging in continuous improvement of teaching practices.

This is a full-time, in office position located at the Saffrony Institute of Technology campus near Mehsana.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution, meeting AICTE and university norms.

Strong foundational knowledge in core civil engineering subjects.

Ability to teach diploma-level courses using clear explanations, practical examples, and modern teaching aids, including smart boards and e-learning tools.

Proficiency in using civil engineering software and laboratory equipment relevant to diploma education (e.g., basic CAD tools, surveying instruments, material testing equipment).

Effective classroom management, mentoring, and student engagement skills, with a focus on inclusive and learner-centered pedagogy.

Strong communication and presentation skills in English and Gujarati; ability to collaborate with colleagues and participate in departmental and institutional activities.

Interest in academic development through participation in workshops, seminars, research, training, and consultancy initiatives.

Previous teaching or academic experience in diploma or degree-level civil engineering education is preferred but not mandatory.
