Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Lead Microsoft Fabric Engineer to design, build, and scale enterprise analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with leadership skills to drive architecture, establish best practices, mentor teams, and deliver modern cloud data platforms.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, Analytics, or Cloud Data Platforms.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake, Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, Spark Notebooks).
- Robust experience with Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Databricks, or similar cloud data platforms.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, PySpark, Delta Lake, DAX, and Power Query (M).
- Expertise in Power BI, including semantic models, DAX optimization, Row-Level Security (RLS), incremental refresh, and deployment pipelines.
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, Medallion Architecture, enterprise data modeling, and scalable data pipelines.
- Experience with OneLake, Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, data governance, and enterprise security.
- Exposure to Microsoft Fabric Copilot, AI-powered analytics, Microsoft Purview, and Microsoft Fabric Data Activator.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management,
mentoring, and technical leadership skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Real-Time Analytics, KQL, Event Streams, and Direct Lake.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Git, and deployment automation.
- Experience migrating Azure Synapse, Databricks, SQL Server, or Power BI solutions to Microsoft Fabric.
- Microsoft Fabric, Azure, or Power BI certifications (DP-600, DP-203, PL-300) are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement enterprise analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
- Design scalable data engineering solutions using Lakehouses, Warehouses, Data Pipelines, Spark, and OneLake.
- Build and optimize Power BI semantic models, reports, and enterprise BI solutions.
- Define architecture standards, governance, security, and best practices across the Fabric platform.
- Lead modernization and migration initiatives from legacy and Azure-based data platforms.
- Optimize data pipelines, reporting workloads, and platform performance.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable analytics solutions.
- Mentor engineering teams, conduct architecture reviews, and provide technical leadership.
