Brief Description about the role: The Electrification Core engineering team requires experienced power electronics system engineers to apply best in class design & analysis skills and derive system specifications, requirements for delivering Jaguar Land Rover's in-house electronic design, charging system for PHEV & BEV. Objective is to deliver levels of reliability and robustness exceeding anything that we have seen before.
Skills, experience and qualifications:
Essential
- Bachelor, master’s degree in electrical/electronic/instrumentation/computer engineering
- Proven understanding of power electronics switching, Battery, charging modules hardware and software algorithms.
- Minimum 8 years of industry experience in Autosar software architecture (QM & ISO26262) and Validation
- Extensive experience in AUTOSAR and Non-AUTOSAR compliant software development using MATLAB/Simulink
- Extensive hands-on experience in development of AUTOSAR architecture for QM and ISO 26262 using System Desk/Architecture development Tools
- Hands on experience in Software composition Interface testing, timing and scheduling using Synopsis (Silver ) Virtual Environment ( L1, L2 ) or relevant Tools (Ex: Trace32 ).
- Experience in Software architecture validation, vECU generation(L1, L2)
- Hands-on experience in software integration and debugging
- Proficiency in requirements definition and requirements management tooling (TRM or similar)
- Experience of model-based systems engineering tools and techniques (ideally CATIA Magic Systems)
- Experience of different software validation tools such as Synopsis (Silver), Vector (CANoe) and ETAS (INCA)
- Understanding of systems engineering “V” life cycle, working experience with ASPICE process
- Experience in end-to-end software delivery
- Experience in version control tools like Tortoise SVN, Git
- Experience in Rally/Jira or similar project management tools
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. Experience of meeting deadlines.
- Solid people skills and the ability to work individually and in a cross functional team

Desired:
- Master’s/PhD in relevant engineering discipline.
- End-to-end knowledge of AUTOSAR and non-AUTOSAR architectures .
- Product design lifecycle experience
- A knowledge of typical BEV, MHEV and PHEV SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) solutions and technologies
- Ability to manage multi-programme Integration testing deliveries.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Develop Composition Software integration test specifications/test cases for MBD/C components based on software Architecture requirements and design documents.
- Design and implement automated Integration tests using Synopsis (Silver) Virtual (L1, L2) Test frameworks.
- Perform the traceability from software Architecture interface and test cases
- Define Software architecture testing process as per ISO 26262and ASPICE and maintain BOK (Body of Knowledge)
- Collaborate with software developers and system engineers to understand functional requirements and model behaviour.
- Perform test execution, debugging, and analysis of test results to identify issues and ensure quality.
- Maintain and enhance test frameworks and infrastructure for continuous integration and automated testing.
- Document test cases, results, and coverage metrics to support software Architecture verification and validation.
- Participate in software architecture and Integration test strategy discussions.
- Ensure compliance with automotive standards such as ASPICE (SWE 5), ISO 26262 , and JLR inhouse standards.
- Participating in design and quality reviews with internal / external suppliers and team
- Provide training/ knowledge sharing in software architecture testing methodologies and Automation.
