About the Role

This role owns the technical leadership of design technology work for the Digital Engineering Solutions team in India. The position blends hands-on problem solving with team leadership, guiding BIM, CAD, computational design, and scripting-based solutions for complex architecture, engineering, and environmental science challenges. It also requires translating technical ideas into clear, accessible language for multidisciplinary audiences.

The successful person will help set standards, influence workflows, support innovation, and manage a team of design technology experts so the group can deliver consistent value across the broader AEC practice.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead design technology solutions across BIM, CAD, and computational design so complex AEC problems are solved faster, more consistently, and with higher technical quality.
- Develop and apply methods using Autodesk, Bentley, Python, and related digital tools to improve design workflows and support technical innovation across projects.
- Create documentation, standards, best practices, and workflows that make design technology usage more repeatable, scalable,



and aligned across the business.
- Manage, coach, and evaluate a team of design technology experts so performance improves, priorities stay aligned, and the team operates effectively.
- Build strong relationships across technical and non-technical stakeholders by presenting ideas clearly and turning expertise into practical business support.
- Monitor emerging technologies and industry developments so the organization can adopt relevant tools, new methods, and digital twin capabilities ahead of the curve.
- Support marketing, communications, business development, and website content as needed so technical capability is represented clearly to internal and external audiences.

Essential Skills & Technologies

- Deep hands-on experience with BIM, CAD, computational design, and AEC geospatial services, with the ability to turn technical complexity into working solutions.
- Strong capability with Autodesk and Bentley ecosystems, plus scripting and automation using Python or similar tools to improve design efficiency.
- Proven leadership in organizing work, prioritizing competing demands, and guiding a team through changing technical and business requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical ideas clearly to both technical specialists and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability, with a practical mindset for creating new solutions that improve processes and business value.
- Detail orientation and the ability to support highly complex or specialized projects without losing control of quality, timelines, or coordination.
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach with the curiosity to learn continuously and the judgment to build trust across a global practice.
