Brief Description about the role:
The Electrification Core engineering team requires experienced power electronics system engineers to apply best in class design & analysis skills and derive system specifications, requirements for delivering Jaguar Land Rover's in-house electronic design, charging system for PHEV & BEV. Objective is to deliver levels of reliability and robustness exceeding anything that we have seen before.
Skills, experience and qualifications:
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/Computer Engineering.
- 8+ years of experience in embedded software development for automotive systems.
- Strong expertise in AUTOSAR BSW configuration and Integration (Com Stack, MCAL, OS, NVM).
- Hands-on experience with C harging Communication Protocols (ISO 15118, DIN 70121, PLC stack).
- Proven track record in Integration testing, Memory management (FEE/DFLASH), and Bootloader Consistency .
- Experience with Hardware Security Module (HSM) configuration and Integration for secure boot, secure flash, and key management.
- Board bring-up experience on at least two to three automotive microcontrollers (e.g., TI F28P65X, Infineon TC397, NXP S32K358, NXP S9KEAZN).
- Experience in Multicore software development, Driver development, and debugging/integration. ,
- Experience in V&V; activities for Embedded software modules.
- Familiarity with ASPICE-compliant development processes and system “V” lifecycle.
- Proficiency in R equirements management tools (DOORS, Polarion, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of version control (Git, SVN) and CI/CD pipelines .
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Required tools knowledge:
- EB Tresos (BSW configuration)
- CANoe / CANalyzer with CAPL scripting
- INCA, CRETA (calibration data management)
- Trace32 / Lauterbach (debugging)
- ADS, S32DS, Code Composer Studio, TASKING Compiler
- GitLab, Git Bash, JLR Artifactory
- MATLAB/Simulink (interface validation)
- Python scripting for automation
- VectorCast, BE Tessy (unit testing)
- Corvus ,XRAY , TRM,MSOSA
Desired:
- Master’s/PhD in relevant engineering discipline.
- End-to-end knowledge of AUTOSAR and non-AUTOSAR architectures .
- Exposure to BEV/MHEV/PHEV system solutions .
- Experience in product lifecycle management from requirements to production.
- Ability to manage multi-programme BSW deliveries .
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Configure, integrate, and release BSW modules (ECU Base SW, Boot & Flash, Communication Stack, Diagnostics, Security).
- Ensure R obust timing plans aligned with program milestones (Quality, Cost, Functionality, Weight, Timing).
- Author and maintain BSW-level requirements ensuring traceability.
- Support charging stack integration with application SW and hardware.
- Conduct board bring-up, debugging, and regression testing on multiple microcontrollers.
- Collaborate with A pplication SW, Hardware, validation, and supplier teams for seamless delivery.
- Mentor team members in BSW configuration, diagnostics, and agile methodologies .
- Advanced debugging skills across multicore and complex ECU environments , with the ability to resolve integration issues efficiently.
- Capability to support and mentor team members when they encounter technical blockers , fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
