Role : Lead Backend engineer

EXP: 8-12 Years

Location-PAN India

Primary Skill :Java/Spring Boot (or Python/C#/Go/Node.js), Microservices Architecture, REST API Development, CI/CD & DevOps,

Secondary Skill : Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka

Position Summary The Lead Backend Engineer is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing backend platforms and services that support enterprise applications, business workflows, analytics, and digital products. This role provides technical leadership across backend architecture, API development, integration services, and distributed systems while ensuring reliability, maintainability, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering expertise with leadership skills to drive backend engineering best practices, mentor team members, and deliver robust technology solutions that align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities Backend Architecture &

- Engineering Lead the design and development of scalable, resilient, and high-performance backend services and platforms. Define and maintain architecture standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices. Develop and optimize microservices, APIs, and distributed systems to support business capabilities. Ensure solutions are designed for scalability, maintainability, security, and operational efficiency. Application &
- Service Development Lead the development of core business services, workflow engines, and backend processing systems. Design and implement business logic, orchestration services, and integration components. Develop reusable frameworks and shared platform capabilities that accelerate delivery. Ensure alignment between business requirements and technical solutions. API &
- Integration Management Design, develop,



and maintain RESTful APIs and enterprise integration services. Enable seamless connectivity across internal platforms, cloud services, third-party applications, and data systems. Establish standards for API security, versioning, documentation, and lifecycle management. Support event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing patterns where appropriate. Performance, Reliability &
- Security Drive performance optimization, system reliability, and application scalability initiatives. Implement monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting capabilities. Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements. Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of production issues. DevOps &
- Engineering Excellence Champion CI/CD practices, automated testing, and deployment automation. Partner with platform and infrastructure teams to improve development and operational efficiency. Promote software quality standards through code reviews and engineering governance. Drive continuous improvement and modernization of backend technologies and development processes. Leadership &
- Stakeholder Collaboration Lead and mentor backend engineers through technical coaching and knowledge sharing. Provide architectural guidance and technical oversight across multiple initiatives. Collaborate with product managers, architects, data engineers, QA teams, and business stakeholders. Influence technical strategy, roadmap planning, and solution design decisions.

Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.



8+ years of experience in software engineering or backend application development. 3+ years of experience providing technical leadership for engineering teams or large-scale initiatives. Solid expertise in backend development using technologies such as Java, Python, C#, Go, Node.js, or similar languages.

Experience designing and implementing microservices and distributed systems. Strong understanding of API design, service-oriented architecture, and event-driven systems.

Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices.

Preferred Qualifications Experience building enterprise-scale applications and shared platform services. Knowledge of workflow orchestration, business rules engines, and real-time processing architectures.

Experience with streaming and messaging technologies such as Kafka, Event Hubs, RabbitMQ, or similar platforms.

Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with cloud-native application development and platform engineering practices.

Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into enterprise applications. Relevant cloud or software engineering certifications.
