Role Description The Laser Operator is a full-time, in office role based in Nashik, responsible for operating CNC fiber laser cutting machines to produce sheet metal components according to drawings and production plans. Day-to-day tasks include setting up machines, selecting appropriate materials and cutting parameters, loading and unloading sheets, and monitoring the cutting process to ensure accurate and consistent results.

The role involves inspecting finished parts for dimensional accuracy and surface quality, identifying and correcting minor machine issues, and coordinating with the production team to meet delivery schedules.

Operator will also maintain a clean and safe work area, follow safety guidelines and standard operating procedures, and document production data and machine usage. Collaboration with supervisors and quality personnel to continuously improve processes and reduce errors is an important aspect of this position.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Machine Operation and Laser Cutting, with experience handling CNC laser machines for sheet metal fabrication.
- Knowledge of Laser systems and related settings, including power, speed, and focus adjustments for different materials and thicknesses.
- Ability to perform Quality Control checks, interpret technical drawings, and verify dimensions and tolerances using measuring tools.
- Basic understanding of Operations Management in a manufacturing environment, including production planning, workflow, and adherence to timelines.
- Familiarity with sheet metal materials and processes such as bending, shearing, and welding is an advantage.
- Attention to detail, safety-conscious work habits, and the ability to follow standard operating procedures consistently.
- Prior experience in an industrial or fabrication setting; vocational training or certification in mechanical, fabrication, or related fields is preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, handle moderate physical work, and work effectively in a team-oriented shop environment.
