Experience

3–6 Years (Mandatory experience in the Fabrication/Sheet Metal Manufacturing Industry)

Qualification

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

- Experience in CNC Fiber Laser Machine Programming and Operation.

Job Summary The Laser Operator & Programmer is responsible for programming, nesting, setting up, and operating CNC Fiber Laser Cutting Machines to manufacture precision components as per engineering drawings. The role also includes machine maintenance, quality inspection, production planning support, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare CNC laser cutting programs using CAM software.

- Perform nesting to maximize material utilization and reduce scrap.

- Set up and operate CNC Fiber Laser Cutting Machines.

- Read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and customer specifications.

- Select appropriate cutting parameters based on material type and thickness.

- Perform machine setup, nozzle alignment, focus adjustment, and gas selection.

- Monitor cutting quality and optimize programs for productivity.





- Inspect finished components for dimensional accuracy and quality.

- Maintain daily production reports and machine records.

- Coordinate with Production, Design, PPC, Quality, and Stores departments.

- Carry out routine machine maintenance and report breakdowns.

- Ensure proper handling of raw materials and finished parts.

- Follow safety procedures and maintain 5S standards on the shop floor.

Technical Skills

- CNC Fiber Laser Programming

- Nesting Software (Lantek, CypNest, SigmaNEST, Pronest or equivalent)

- Laser Machine Operation

- Engineering Drawing Reading

- Sheet Metal Fabrication Knowledge

- Material Knowledge (MS, SS, Aluminium, GI, Brass)

- Measuring Instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge)

- Basic CNC Troubleshooting

- Preventive Maintenance

- MS Office

Pay: ₹11,459.50 - ₹45,000.00 per month
