Role Description This is an on-site Language Tutor role based in India.
The Language
Tutor will deliver engaging lessons that help learners develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in their target language. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning lesson content, assessing learner progress, providing constructive feedback, and adapting teaching methods to diverse learning styles and proficiency levels. The tutor will use the Language Metrics platform and related tools to manage schedules, track learner outcomes,
and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment. The role also involves fostering cultural awareness and encouraging learners to use language in real-life, conversational contexts.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in at least one target language and ability to teach core language skills (speaking, listening, reading, writing).
- Experience in language teaching, tutoring, or education, with skills in lesson planning and classroom or small-group instruction.
- Ability to design engaging learning activities and adapt teaching strategies to different ages, backgrounds, and skill levels.
- Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to provide supportive, structured feedback to learners.
- Comfort using digital tools and platforms for scheduling, resource sharing, and learner progress tracking.
- Bachelor’s degree in Languages, Education, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications (e.g., TEFL, TESOL, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and interest in promoting inclusive, respectful learning environments.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other educators and contribute to the broader Language Metrics teaching community.
