Position: Lab Engineer

Department: Quality Control / Testing

Industry: Wire & Cable Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct testing and inspection of raw materials, wires, cables, and finished products.
- Perform electrical, mechanical, and dimensional tests as per company standards and specifications.
- Check parameters such as conductor resistance, insulation resistance, tensile strength, elongation, diameter, and conductivity.
- Prepare and maintain laboratory test reports and quality records.
- Ensure testing is carried out as per IS/IEC standards and customer specifications.
- Inspect samples received from production and approve/reject them based on test results.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory testing equipment and instruments.
- Maintain proper records of test results, samples, and calibration reports.
- Coordinate with the Production and Quality teams to resolve quality issues.




- Identify deviations and report non-conforming products to the concerned department.
- Support internal and external quality audits.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, safety, and compliance within the laboratory.

Required Skills
- Valuable knowledge of wire and cable testing procedures.
- Knowledge of IS, IEC and electrical testing standards.
- Good understanding of electrical and mechanical testing equipment.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and laboratory documentation.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate testing records.

Qualification & Experience
- Qualification: Diploma/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
- Experience: 1–3 years in a wire/cable manufacturing or electrical testing laboratory preferred.

* Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
