Immediate Hiring | Early Joining Preferred

Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat

Employment Type: Full-time, On-site

Company: iNSPIRE Design Please Read Before Applying

This is a multidisciplinary product-development role involving both electronics/embedded development AND mechanical design.

We are specifically looking for someone who is comfortable working with microcontrollers, sensors, electronic components and programming, while also being capable of working with SolidWorks, CAD assemblies and manufacturing drawings.

This is not a pure mechanical engineering, electronics or software position.

About the Role iNSPIRE Design is looking for a hands-on Junior Mechatronics Engineer to work on the development of recent physical products, with a particular focus on medical devices and electromechanical systems. You will work across electronics, embedded programming, mechanical design, prototyping and testing. On the electronics side, you will be expected to gradually take ownership of the electronics and embedded systems used in our product-development projects — including researching technologies, selecting components, building prototypes, programming them and troubleshooting the resulting systems. On the mechanical side, you will work under our senior mechanical engineering team and support projects through CAD modelling, design modifications, assemblies, manufacturing drawings, prototyping and documentation. We are looking for someone who enjoys building things and figuring out how they work, rather than someone interested only in theoretical engineering. Electronics & Embedded Responsibilities

You will work on tasks including:

- Developing electronics and embedded systems for functional product prototypes.
- Understanding product requirements and proposing suitable electronic architectures.
- Researching and selecting microcontrollers, processors, sensors, cameras, microphones, displays, DACs/ADCs, drivers and other electronic components.
- Working with platforms such as ESP32, Arduino and Raspberry Pi.
- Programming embedded systems using C/C++ and Python.
- Interfacing sensors, actuators, motors, displays, cameras, microphones and other peripherals.
- Working with communication protocols such as I²C, SPI and UART.
- Reading component datasheets and understanding electrical specifications.
- Building breadboard and prototype circuits.
- Soldering and assembling electronic prototypes.
- Using multimeters, oscilloscopes and other basic electronic test equipment.
- Troubleshooting hardware, firmware and communication problems.
- Preparing basic schematics, wiring diagrams and electronic BOMs.
- Sourcing electronic components and evaluating suitable alternatives.
- Documenting prototype architectures, connections, software and test results.
- Working with specialist electronics vendors or consultants when a project requires capabilities beyond the internal team.

You are not expected to already be an expert in advanced PCB, RF or production electronics design. However, you should have strong fundamentals and be capable of researching unfamiliar technologies and learning quickly.

Mechanical Engineering

Responsibilities

You will also support our mechanical engineering team with:

- 3D CAD modelling using SolidWorks.
- Creating and modifying individual components and assemblies.
- Preparing manufacturing and engineering drawings.
- Applying basic tolerances, fits and GD&T.;
- Preparing and maintaining mechanical BOMs.
- Making design modifications based on prototype testing and engineering feedback.
- Designing basic brackets, mounts, enclosures and supporting components.
- Understanding how PCBs, sensors, motors, displays, wiring and other electronics are physically integrated into products.
- Preparing models for 3D printing and other prototyping processes.
- Supporting CNC machining, sheet metal, fabrication and other manufacturing activities.
- Assembling and testing mechanical and electromechanical prototypes.
- Coordinating with vendors where required. Complex mechanical architecture and major design decisions will generally be led by the senior mechanical engineering team, but you should be capable of independently executing well-defined mechanical engineering tasks. What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an engineer who is naturally curious and comfortable moving between hardware, software and mechanical systems. You should be someone who, when given a requirement such as:

“We need to acquire data from these sensors, process it, control this hardware and display the result,”

can research the problem, identify possible components, read the relevant documentation, build a prototype and work through the problems that arise. You should be comfortable admitting when you don’t know something, but your next instinct should be to research it, experiment and figure it out.

Required

Skills

- Strong fundamentals in electronics and embedded systems.
- Practical experience with Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi or similar platforms.
- C/C++ and/or Python programming experience.
- Experience interfacing sensors and other electronic hardware.
- Understanding of basic analog and digital electronics.
- Ability to read electronic component datasheets.
- Practical soldering and electronics prototyping skills.
- Ability to use a multimeter and basic electronic test equipment.
- SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD experience.
- Ability to create basic mechanical parts,

assemblies and engineering drawings.
- Basic understanding of mechanical manufacturing processes.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Ability to document engineering work clearly. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in one of the following or a closely related discipline:

- Mechatronics Engineering
- Electronics & Communication Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Instrumentation Engineering
- Electrical Engineering Fresh graduates with strong hands-on project experience are encouraged to apply.

Candidates with approximately 0–2 years of relevant experience are preferred.

Your degree matters less to us than your ability to demonstrate that you can actually build and troubleshoot working systems.

Strongly

Preferred

Candidates who have personally built projects involving combinations of:

- ESP32 / Arduino / Raspberry Pi
- Sensors and data acquisition
- Cameras or image processing
- Audio acquisition or processing
- Motors and motion control
- Displays and user interfaces
- IoT or wireless communication
- Signal processing
- PCB design
- Battery-powered devices
- Python applications interacting with physical hardware
- Electromechanical systems
- Medical-device prototypes Personal projects, university projects and prototypes are all acceptable, provided you can clearly explain what you personally designed, programmed, built and debugged. About iNSPIRE Design iNSPIRE Design is an Ahmedabad-based product development and engineering company working with startups, businesses, researchers and healthcare professionals to develop new physical products.

Our work includes medical devices, mechanical and electromechanical products, embedded prototypes, proof-of-concept systems, product engineering and manufacturing support.

Because we develop products from the ground up, engineers are exposed to the complete development process rather than working on only one small part of a larger system.

Who Will Do Well

Here?

This position will suit someone who enjoys sitting down with a collection of mechanical parts, sensors, wires, development boards and a laptop, and turning them into a working product. We don’t expect a junior engineer to know everything. We do expect you to understand engineering fundamentals, be comfortable experimenting, know how to research technical problems and be willing to get your hands dirty building and debugging prototypes.

If your engineering experience has primarily been theoretical and you are not comfortable physically building and troubleshooting systems, this role is unlikely to be a good fit. Work Location

This is a full-time, on-site position in Ahmedabad.

Candidates available to join immediately or at short notice will be preferred.

Salary Budget

₹25000 - ₹35,000 per month, based on skills.
