Department: CAPTIVE POWER PLANT (CPP)

Role & responsibilities

- Operate and monitor AFBC Boiler during shift operations to ensure protected and efficient steam generation.
- Monitor critical operating parameters such as steam pressure, steam temperature, furnace temperature, bed temperature, drum level, and draft.
- Maintain optimum combustion by controlling fuel feed, bed material, primary and secondary air flow.
- Monitor and operate boiler auxiliaries including ID, FD & PA fans, fuel feeding system, ash handling system, soot blowers, and feed water system.
- Perform start-up, shutdown, and load variation of the boiler as per SOPs.
- Coordinate with the Turbine and Electrical teams for smooth power generation.




- Identify operational abnormalities and initiate corrective actions to avoid equipment failure.
- Carry out routine equipment inspections and report any defects to the maintenance team.
- Maintain shift logbooks, operational records, and daily reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, statutory norms, and environmental standards.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and follow 5S practices in the boiler area.
- Participate in preventive maintenance and annual shutdown activities.

Preferred candidate profile Anyone from Thermal or captive power plant with 1-2 years of experience
