Job Title: Jira Delivery Developer

Role Summary

We are looking for a dynamic Jira Delivery Developer who can bridge the gap between business processes and Jira configuration. This is a hybrid role combining functional consulting, Jira administration, and implementation delivery.

The ideal candidate will participate in discovery sessions, refine requirements, perform hands-on configuration, and ensure business processes are accurately translated into scalable Jira solutions. You will work closely with the Jira Solution Architect to deliver high-quality, structured, and user-ready implementations.

Key Responsibilities

Discovery & Requirement Gathering

- Participate in discovery sessions with stakeholders to gather workflow, field, automation, and reporting requirements
- Translate business needs into structured configuration specifications
- Identify gaps, dependencies, and risks early in the process

Backlog & Functional Refinement

- Refine user stories and break down requirements into actionable configuration tasks
- Support backlog grooming and prioritization
- Ensure clarity between business expectations and technical execution

Hands-on Jira Configuration

- Perform field-level configuration including custom fields, workflows, screens, request types, and automation rules




- Work closely with the Jira Solution Lead/Architect on implementation
- Configure dashboards, filters, and reporting views

Documentation & Process Mapping

- Document use cases, business rules, data models, and field mappings
- Create structured documentation to support implementation and audit requirements
- Maintain traceability between requirements and configuration

Testing & User Enablement

- Support test case development and validation
- Participate in client walkthroughs and demonstrations
- Assist in early-stage help documentation and user-facing guides
- Support UAT coordination when required

Required Qualifications

- 35+ years of experience as a Jira Administrator or Delivery Consultant
- Strong hands-on experience with Jira configuration (Cloud preferred)
- Comfortable with both process flow design and system configuration
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into clear configuration specifications
- Excellent documentation and communication skills

Preferred Experience

- Experience working with security, GRC, or compliance-focused environments
- Familiarity with structured workflow governance
- Experience facilitating UAT sessions
- Experience drafting user guides or functional documentation
