Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on IT Network Engineer with minimum 4 years of experience to manage and support the IT infrastructure at our Gurugram Corporate Office while also providing operational support to corporate offices across the UAE, KSA, and Egypt remotely.Occasional international travel to these regional offices may be required to support new office setups, network and voice infrastructure deployments, major hardware installations, equipment replacements, migrations, or other activities that require onsite technical presence and hands-on configuration.
The ideal candidate should possess strong experience in designing, configuring, administering, and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, wireless networks, VPNs, and network security solutions. In addition, the candidate should have practical experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Voice Gateways, SIP trunks, SIP-based telephony,
and related voice infrastructure to ensure reliable and high-quality enterprise communication services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining highly available and secure network and voice infrastructure, ensuring business continuity of critical IT services, resolving complex network and voice-related incidents, supporting end-user infrastructure, and collaborating with regional IT teams, telecom service providers, and vendors on operational and project initiatives. The role requires excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced multinational environment while supporting multiple geographically distributed offices.
Technical Expertise:
- Configure, administer, monitor, and troubleshoot Cisco enterprise network infrastructure, including
- Cisco routers, Layer 2/Layer 3 switches, wireless controllers, wireless access points, firewalls, and Cisco Voice Gateways.
- Configure and administer Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE), Cisco Voice Gateways, SIP trunks, MGCP, H.323, SIP, UCCX, CUP and UCS.
- Design, configure, maintain, and support enterprise IP Telephony (VoIP) and PBX solutions.
- Manage SIP trunks, Direct Inward Dialing (DID) numbers, phone extensions, dial plans, and voice routing.
- Implement and optimize Quality of Service (QoS)
policies to ensure high-quality voice communications.
- Perform Cisco Smart Licensing administration, SmartNet contract management, software lifecycle management, and license renewals.
- Support Windows Server and Linux server administration, including installation, configuration, patching, failover clustering, and basic troubleshooting.
- Participate in infrastructure lifecycle management, including firmware upgrades, hardware refreshes, and technology migrations.
Network Security Infrastructure:
- Configure and troubleshoot enterprise routing, switching, VPNs, and Cisco SD-WAN environments.
- Maintain network security infrastructure, including firewalls, VPN solutions, Network Access Control (NAC), and secure remote access.
- Plan, manage, and maintain IP address allocation using IP Address Management (IPAM) tools.
- Support enterprise wireless networking technologies and troubleshoot wireless performance issues.
- Ensure compliance with corporate IT security standards and cybersecurity best practices.
- Conduct periodic network vulnerability assessments and security reviews.
Cloud Technologies:
- Support hybrid cloud connectivity within Microsoft Azure environments.
- Configure and troubleshoot Local Network Gateways, Azure Virtual WAN (vWAN), VPN, Gateways, and hybrid network connectivity.
- Collaborate with cloud and application teams to secure hybrid cloud infrastructure and optimize network performance.
- Be familiar with cloud technologies such as Cisco Meraki Cloud.
Monitoring and Automation:
- Monitor enterprise infrastructure using tools such as SolarWinds, Zabbix, PRTG, or equivalent monitoring platforms.
- Configure alerts, dashboards, reporting, and proactive monitoring.
- Automate routine network administration tasks using scripting or automation tools where applicable.
- Support capacity planning and performance optimization initiatives.
Network Support and Optimization:
- Provide Level 3 (L3) network and voice support for enterprise infrastructure.
- Diagnose and resolve complex routing, switching, wireless, firewall, VPN, and VoIP issues.
- Plan and execute network implementations, upgrades, migrations, and office expansion projects.
- Coordinate with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and telecom providers for Dedicated Internet
- Access (DIA), MPLS, leased circuits, and SIP trunk services.
- Review infrastructure utilization and recommend improvements to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and resilience.
- Participate in after-hours maintenance activities and critical incident response when required.
Documentation and Problem Resolution:
- Maintain accurate network diagrams, topology maps, IP addressing documentation, configuration backups, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and asset inventories.
- Maintain incident records, change documentation, and service reports.
- Produce Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports and operational playbooks for recurring incidents.
- Build operational dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI or similar reporting tools.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies and applicable local and international cybersecurity standards.
Process Improvement and Planning:
- Identify opportunities to improve network reliability, automation, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
- Develop implementation plans for new technologies, infrastructure upgrades, and equipment deployments.
- Recommend best practices to improve service availability, security, and operational excellence.
Troubleshooting and Support:
- Diagnose and resolve enterprise network, security, cloud connectivity, and IP telephony issues.
- Provide technical support to end users for connectivity, collaboration, and telephony services.
- Act as a technical escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and be available to provide remote or onsite support for critical business incidents outside normal working hours when required.
Experience:
- 4-5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise IT Network Infrastructure within a Cisco environment.
- Minimum 2 years of experience supporting Windows Server and Linux server environments.
- Experience supporting Cisco Collaboration and Voice technologies in an enterprise workplace is highly preferred.
- Experience supporting multinational or geographically distributed offices is an advantage.
Qualifications:
Must haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
Good to have:
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP Enterprise).
- Cisco Collaboration certifications (CCNP Collaboration or equivalent) are highly desirable.
- Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or equivalent cloud certification.
- ITIL Foundation Certification.
- Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto, or other network security certifications are an added advantage.
