About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and highly hands-on IT Infrastructure & Azure Cloud AMS Manager to lead our Infrastructure and Cloud Application/Managed Services (AMS) operations.
This is a technical leadership, client-facing, and service delivery role . The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Infrastructure AMS team, maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring SLA-driven service delivery, and remaining technically hands-on when complex infrastructure or cloud issues require senior-level involvement.
The candidate must have strong experience across traditional enterprise infrastructure and Microsoft Azure environments and be capable of managing multiple customer environments and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
Client Management & Customer Interaction
- Serve as the primary operational and technical point of contact for assigned clients.
- Build strong relationships with client IT leadership, infrastructure teams, application teams, security teams, and business stakeholders.
- Lead weekly and monthly client operational meetings.
- Present infrastructure health, incidents, SLA performance, risks, vulnerabilities, capacity, and improvement initiatives.
- Understand client priorities and translate them into actionable activities for the AMS team.
- Manage client expectations, communications, escalations, and service delivery commitments.
- Provide clear and timely communication during critical incidents and production outages.
- Conduct regular service reviews and identify opportunities for service improvement.
- Work closely with clients on infrastructure roadmaps, cloud modernization, migrations, security, automation, and cost optimization.
- Identify additional areas where the team can provide value to the customer.
AMS Team Management
- Lead and manage the Infrastructure & Cloud AMS team.
- Manage L1, L2, and L3 infrastructure support resources.
- Assign responsibilities and ensure appropriate workload distribution across the team.
- Establish appropriate shift coverage and on-call support for 24×7 environments.
- Track incidents, service requests, problems, changes, and infrastructure projects.
- Ensure SLA and KPI commitments are consistently achieved.
- Conduct daily/weekly operational reviews with the AMS team.
- Manage technical escalations and ensure issues are resolved within agreed timelines.
- Mentor engineers and improve the technical capabilities of the team.
- Establish SOPs, runbooks, knowledge-base documentation, and operational standards.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major incidents and ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Drive continuous improvement and reduce repetitive incidents through automation.
- Manage resource capacity, utilization,
performance, and technical skill development.

- Lead technical bridge calls during critical production incidents.
- Coordinate across infrastructure, network, security, application, database, and cloud teams.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis and drive permanent corrective actions.
- Track SLA, MTTR, incident trends, availability, capacity,
vulnerabilities, and operational health.
- Develop monthly client service reports and executive-level operational summaries.
- Identify recurring problems and eliminate them through automation or architectural improvements.
Automation & AI-Driven Operations Drive infrastructure automation using technologies such as:
- PowerShell

The manager should continuously identify opportunities to introduce automation, AIOps, proactive monitoring, and self-healing capabilities into the AMS environment.
Required Experience
- 10+ years of IT Infrastructure experience.
- 3+ years in an Infrastructure Manager, AMS Manager, Cloud Operations Manager, Service Delivery Manager, or Technical Lead position.
- Strong hands-on Microsoft Azure experience.
- Strong traditional infrastructure experience.
- Strong Windows Server and Active Directory knowledge.
- Strong networking fundamentals.
- VMware/virtualization experience.
- Backup, storage, monitoring, security, and disaster recovery experience.
- Experience managing enterprise infrastructure AMS/support teams.
- Experience managing L1/L2/L3 resources and 24×7 support operations.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder-management experience.
- Experience conducting client service reviews and operational meetings.
- Experience managing SLAs, KPIs, incidents, problems, and changes.
- Strong troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis capabilities.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and customer communication skills.

Certifications are preferred; strong hands-on technical and client-management experience is more important.
Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should be able to operate across:

This role requires someone who takes end-to-end ownership of the customer, the AMS team, and the technology environment.
