Role Overview
The IT Analyst will be responsible for the smooth functioning of the schools digital ecosystemincluding ERP platforms, network infrastructure, and electronic security systems. This role ensures operational continuity, data integrity, and a safe digital-physical workplace for students, staff, and administrators
Key Responsibilities
ERP System Management
Administer and maintain the schools ERP system (My Class Board.)
Collaborate with academic and administrative teams to customize ERP modules (Admissions, Attendance, Timetable, Fee Management, HR, etc.)
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with vendors for upgrades and patches
Ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance across all ERP modules
Train parents, staff on ERP usage and create user manuals or help guides
Manage user accounts / create new / inactive exit staff or students
IT Infrastructure & Support
Oversee school-wide hardware and software systems (computers, printers, smart boards, Wi-Fi, etc.)
Administer LAN/WAN networks, Wi-Fi access points, and internet uptime
Monitor and maintain firewalls, routers, switches, and VPN configurations
Implement network segmentation and bandwidth optimization strategies
Manage user accounts, access controls, and backups
Provide first-line support for technical issues faced by staff, students & parents
Coordinate with external IT service providers for maintenance and procurement
Electronic Security & Surveillance
Manage and maintain CCTV systems across the campus, ensuring uptime and footage integrity
Coordinate with vendors for camera placement, storage upgrades, and system health checks
Oversee biometric attendance systems and access control devices
Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy norms in surveillance operations
Cybersecurity & Firewall Oversight
Configure and monitor firewall rules to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats
Conduct periodic vulnerability assessments and patch management
Implement endpoint protection and antivirus protocols across devices
Educate staff on cybersecurity best practices and digital hygiene
EPABX & Telephony Systems
Maintain and troubleshoot EPABX systems and internal telephone lines
Coordinate with vendors for line extensions, repairs, and upgrades
Ensure reliable communication channels across departments
Leased Assets & Lab Oversight
Track and manage leased IT assets (computers, printers, projectors, etc.)
Maintain inventory logs, warranty records, and AMC schedules
Oversee the computer lab: hardware health, software updates, and student access
Coordinate procurement, servicing, and asset lifecycle planning
Data & Reporting
Generate actionable reports from ERP and security systems for leadership review
Maintain audit trails and documentation for inspections and compliance
Support data-driven decision-making through dashboards and visual summaries
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a bridge between school leadership, teaching staff, and technical vendors
Translate operational needs into secure, scalable technical solutions
Provide AV/IT support for school events and presentations
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
3-5 years of experience in IT support, ERP administration, and security systems (preferably in education)
Proficiency in network management tools, firewall configuration, and CCTV systems
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
Preferred Attributes
Experience with school ERP platforms and cloud-based infrastructure
Familiarity with biometric systems, surveillance protocols, and data privacy laws
Certification in CCNA, CompTIA Security+, or similar is a plus
Ability to train non-technical users and simplify complex systems
