Applix is seeking an experienced IT Manufacturing Systems Engineer to support and enhance manufacturing IT applications and plant infrastructure across enterprise manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will possess robust experience supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Industrial Applications, Plant Infrastructure, Network Technologies, Virtualization, and IT Service Management (ITSM). This role requires close collaboration with manufacturing teams, business stakeholders, global IT organizations, and plant operations to ensure high availability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement of manufacturing systems.
The successful candidate will drive incident resolution, infrastructure support, application lifecycle management, risk mitigation, and manufacturing technology initiatives while ensuring reliable production operations. Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders and manufacturing teams to understand business objectives and translate them into technology solutions.
Gather, analyze, and document business and IT requirements for manufacturing system enhancements and new initiatives.
Lead or contribute to IT projects involving manufacturing applications, infrastructure upgrades, and digital transformation initiatives.
Support and maintain manufacturing applications, including MES, Industrial IoT platforms, Kepware, Pinpoint, and related shop-floor systems.
Administer manufacturing IT infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, Virtual Servers, Firewalls, and network connectivity.
Perform Incident, Problem, and Change Management activities following ITIL/ITSM best practices.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent corrective actions to improve service reliability.
Validate application and infrastructure changes during deployments, upgrades, and project implementations.
Identify operational risks proactively and develop mitigation strategies for business continuity.
Coordinate vulnerability remediation activities across applications, servers, infrastructure, and OT devices.
Collaborate with global IT teams to ensure compliance with enterprise security, governance, and operational standards.
Participate in on-call production support rotations to ensure business continuity.
Maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles, and operational procedures.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing IT environments.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience supporting manufacturing IT applications and infrastructure.
Strong understanding of ITSM processes including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
Excellent communication skills with experience supporting global stakeholders.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
