Job Summary
We are seeking an Instrumentation Engineer to support the development and execution of dam inspections, reservoir investigations, hydrographic surveys, underwater inspections, and environmental monitoring projects. The role involves the selection, integration, calibration, testing, operation, and maintenance of survey and inspection instrumentation while ensuring accurate and reliable data acquisition in field environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Select, integrate, commission, calibrate, and maintain survey and inspection instrumentation.
- Support field activities related to dam inspections, reservoir surveys, hydrographic surveys, bathymetric surveys, and underwater inspections.
- Configure, test, and troubleshoot instrumentation systems before, during, and after field deployments.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), calibration records, equipment logs, and technical documentation.
- Evaluate new instrumentation technologies and recommend suitable solutions.
- Ensure proper maintenance, servicing, and inventory management of survey equipment.
- Work closely with mechanical, electrical, electronics, software, and project teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide technical support during customer demonstrations, trials, and site deployments.
Instrumentation Experience Hands-on experience with one or more of the following is preferred:
-Multibeam Echo Sounders (MBES)
- Single Beam Echo Sounders (SBES)
- Side Scan Sonars
- Imaging Sonars
- Sub-bottom Profilers
- Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCP)
- Doppler Velocity Logs (DVL)
- RTK GNSS/GPS Systems
- INS/IMU Systems
- CTD Sensors
- Water Quality Monitoring Instruments
- Pressure and Depth Sensors
- Water Level Monitoring Systems
- Current Meters
- Sediment Monitoring Equipment
- Laser Profilers
- LiDAR Systems
- HD, Low-Light, and Thermal Cameras
- Environmental Monitoring Sensors
Required Skills
- Solid understanding of instrumentation and measurement systems.
- Experience with calibration, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of instrumentation.
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet, CAN Bus, Modbus, USB, and NMEA.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and instrumentation drawings.
- Proficiency in using test and calibration equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and data loggers.
- Good technical documentation and reporting skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel extensively for field deployments across India.
