Company Description Airysole is a leading manufacturer of lightweight PU (Polyurethane) soles, including outsoles, midsoles, insoles, footbeds, cork footbeds, and gel heel pads. The company specializes in producing PU soles of any design and color, even highly complex patterns, for a wide range of footwear brands.
With five production lines across two units covering 63,000 square feet, Airysole produces approximately 4.5 million pairs of PU soles annually. State-of-the-art Italian technology supports consistent quality and performance, helping enhance the products of major Indian and international footwear brands. Airysole has developed more than 600 sole designs for renowned names such as Red Chief, Bata India, Woodland, Hush Puppies, Red Tape, Lee Cooper, and others.
Role Description The Instrumentation Engineer is responsible for ensuring reliable operation, calibration, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems across Airysole’s production lines. This full-time, in office role based in Kanpur involves monitoring process parameters, optimizing control loops, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to maintain product quality and operational efficiency.
Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing and troubleshooting instrumentation and electrical issues, coordinating preventive maintenance,
and documenting system changes and calibration records. The role collaborates closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams to implement best practices, support new equipment installations, and ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Instrumentation and Process Control for automated manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on experience in Troubleshooting and Calibration of sensors, transmitters, controllers, and related devices.
- Solid foundation in Electrical Engineering, including industrial wiring, panel layouts, and safety practices.
- Proficiency with PLCs, SCADA/DCS systems, and industrial communication protocols is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience in footwear, polymers, chemicals, or similar process-based industries is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs;, and equipment manuals.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively on-site in a production setting.
- Commitment to occupational safety, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement methodologies.
