Job Title: Import Coordinator

Department: Supply Chain / Import & Logistics

Location: Charni Road, Mumbai

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactiveImport Coordinator to manage and coordinate the end-to-end import process. The role involves coordinating with Customs House Agents (CHA), overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, transporters, and internal departments to ensure timely customs clearance and smooth delivery of imported materials. The ideal candidate should possess strong documentation, coordination, and follow-up skills while ensuring compliance with import regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate with Customs House Agents (CHA) for customs clearance of import consignments.
- Coordinate with overseas suppliers for shipment schedules and shipping documents.
- Verify and maintain import documentation, including:
- Commercial Invoice
- Packing List
- Bill of Lading (BL) / Air Waybill (AWB)
- Certificate of Origin (COO)
- Insurance Documents
- Delivery Order (DO)
- Bill of Entry
- Other import-related documents as required.
- Ensure all import documents are complete and submitted to the CHA within the required timelines.
- Track import shipments from dispatch until final delivery.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, transporters, warehouses, and other logistics partners.
- Follow up with the CHA for customs clearance, duty assessment, examination, and delivery status.




- Coordinate with the Finance Department for customs duty payments, freight charges, and other import-related expenses.
- Maintain regular communication with suppliers and logistics partners regarding shipment updates and document requirements.
- Resolve documentation discrepancies and shipment-related issues in coordination with suppliers and the CHA.
- Maintain accurate records of import documents, shipment details, and customs clearance files.
- Prepare and update import trackers, shipment status reports, and MIS reports.
- Ensure compliance with Customs regulations, DGFT guidelines, and other applicable import laws.
- Coordinate with the warehouse for receipt of imported goods and timely delivery.
- Provide regular shipment status updates to internal stakeholders.
- Assist in improving import processes for timely clearance and cost efficiency.

Required Skills
- Knowledge of import documentation and customs clearance procedures.
- Experience coordinating with Customs House Agents (CHA), freight forwarders, and shipping lines.
- Understanding of Incoterms (FOB, CIF, EXW, FCA, etc.).
- Valuable communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- Ability to handle multiple import shipments simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
