Job Purpose The Collateral Risk Manager is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the quality of IIFL HFLs portfolio by assessing potential risks, recommending policy interventions, and developing efficient, standardized processes and systems for collateral evaluation (property valuation). This role bridges collateral risk, policy, process, and product development, while supporting the digitization of customer onboarding, verifications, and property valuation to reduce overall loan processing time

Key Responsibilities:

1. Portfolio Risk Assessment

- Analyze the existing portfolio to identify potential risks at project, builder, and location level, based on current and expected market trends.
- Track real estate price trends and contribute to development of Automated Valuation Models (AVMs).
- Monitor high-risk properties or portfolios and provide actionable insights to Head Collateral Risk.

1. Policy & Regulatory Intervention

- Understand local policies, regulatory norms, and market practices affecting collateral risk.
- Recommend policy interventions to mitigate and regulate risk.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external audit and regulatory standards.

Process & System Enhancement

- Develop leaner, standardized processes for collateral evaluation and property valuation.
- Drive end-to-end enhancement of technical valuation systems: requirement gathering, stakeholder discussions, product/system development, and implementation.
- Design cutting-edge processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and TAT in collateral assessment.

1. Data Analysis & MIS

- Analyse large datasets to identify risk trends, valuation deviations, and portfolio quality issues.
- Maintain dashboards and MIS reports for decision-making.

Support digital initiatives for branch, regional, and central operations. Stakeholder Management & Training

- Collaborate with branch, zonal, central teams, and vendors for smooth execution of collateral processes.
- Provide guidance and training to internal teams and vendors on policies, valuation processes, and compliance.
