maryThe Male & Female Hostel Warden is responsible for the overall administration, discipline, saf ety,and welfare of approximately 400 resident students (1st and 2nd year) in the hos tel.

The Warden ensures smooth hostel operations, maintains discipline and a secure l ivingenvironment, and acts as the primary point of contact between students, administra tion,parents, and campus serv

**ices.

Key Responsibi**

lities1. Hostel Administ ration• Oversee the day-to-day functioning of the male hostel housing approximate ly 400stu dents.• Ensure hostel rules, policies, and code of conduct are implemented and fol lowed.• Maintain student hostel records, room allocations, attendance, and occupancy data.• Manage check-in/check-out procedures, room changes, and hostel document ation.• Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and security teams for smooth opera

**tions.

1. Student Welfare & Dis**

cipline• Maintain discipline and decorum within the hostel pr emises.• Address student grievances, interpersonal conflicts, and behavioral issues.• Provide mentorship and guidance to first-year students adapting to hoste l life.• Monitor student well-being and escalate serious concerns when re quired.• Enforce policies regarding banned substances, curfew, and campus regul **ations.
1. Safety &**

Security• Ensure the safety of residents at all times in coordination with campus s ecurity.• Conduct regular hostel rounds and insp ections.• Monitor entry/exit of students, especially during nigh t hours.• Ensure compliance with fire safety, emergency evacuation,



and disaster ma nagementpro cedures.• Report and document incidents, violations, or emergencies p **romptly.
1. Hostel Infrastructure & F**

acilities• Ensure hostel facilities are clean, functional, and well-ma intained.• Coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs and infrastructur e issues.• Supervise housekeeping staff to maintain hygiene s tandards.• Monitor utilities such as water supply, electricity, and sa **nitation.

Engagement• Encourage positive hostel culture and communi ty living.• Support sports, recreation, and cultural activities within t he hostel.• Work with student committees and hostel representatives to address issues pr **oactively.
1. Coordination & Co**

mmunication• Serve as the primary liaison between students and campus admi nistration.• Communicate notices, policies, and updates to hostel residents.• Coordinate with the academic program office, security team, medical servi ces, diningservices, and maintenance **department.

ocumentation• Maintain incident reports, disciplinary records, and hoste l registers.• Submit periodic reports to the administration regarding hostel operations.• Maintain documentation for compliance, inspections, and audits.

Qualifications• Graduate or Postgraduate degree in a ny discipline.• Experience of 3-7 years in hostel management, student affairs, admi nistration, orresidential campus managem ent preferred.• KNOWLEDGE OF TAMIL, ENGLISH AND HIND
