Role Description The Head of the Department – Computer Science will lead the academic and administrative functions of the Computer Science department at CTPL’s partner institution in the Mohali district. This full-time, on-site role includes planning and overseeing curriculum delivery, guiding faculty members, and ensuring high-quality teaching and learning outcomes.

The Head will coordinate course schedules, monitor academic performance, and support continuous improvement in pedagogy and assessment.

Responsibilities also include promoting relevant research activities,



aligning departmental initiatives with industry and market needs, and collaborating with institutional leadership to integrate CTPL’s EdTech solutions into the academic environment.

Qualifications

- Solid background in Teaching and Education, with demonstrated experience leading academic programs or departments.
- Experience in Curriculum Development, including designing and updating Computer Science syllabi aligned with current industry standards.
- Proven ability to conduct and supervise Research in Computer Science or related domains; familiarity with interdisciplinary work (e.g., Physics or applied sciences) is an advantage.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred).
- Excellent leadership, mentoring, and team management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with faculty, administration, and external partners.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with a focus on outcomes, student engagement, and academic quality.
- Experience with educational technology platforms, digital learning tools, or EdTech initiatives is highly beneficial.
- Ability to operate in a dynamic, innovation-driven environment and contribute to the digital transformation of higher education.
