Head of Finance

Bengaluru · Full-time, on-site · Chartered Accountant (ICAI) · 3–5 years post-qualification · Reports directly to the Founders Brik Oven is a Bengaluru Neapolitan pizzeria chain — 15+ outlets, a central kitchen that makes our mozzarella fresh every morning, a deli and packaged foods line, a B2B business, wood-fired catering, and Brine, our second brand. We are institutionally backed, at INR 50 Cr, on our way to INR 100 Cr, opening 5–6 outlets this year. THE MANDATE

We are not looking for someone to keep the books. We are looking for the person who builds the system that tells us the truth — every month, without being asked.

Today our numbers live scattered across spreadsheets, POS, aggregator portals and people’s heads.

Your job is to pull them into one automated view: which outlet makes money and why, what a pizza actually costs to make and deliver, what each department head spends and what it returns, and where money is leaking with nothing to show for it. Then to fix it. WHAT YOU WILL OWN

– Monthly close and MIS — consolidated, entity-wise, store-wise and channel-wise P&L;, closed within 7 working days of month end.

– Unit economics — the outlet model for every opening: capex, breakeven month, cash payback, cash-on-cash return.

– Cost of goods — BOM and recipe costing, food cost by store explained at ingredient level, wastage and shrinkage in rupees.

– The central kitchen — cost it properly, set a defensible transfer price to stores, and track capacity utilization as outlets, deli, packaged foods and B2B all grow off the same plant.

– Controls — daily sales by store and channel with POS reconciled to aggregator settlements, bank and books; monthly stock counts at every store and the kitchen; logistics cost per drop and packaging cost per order.

– Cash and projections — a 13-week rolling cash forecast, the working capital cycle, capex funding for the outlet pipeline,



and the rolling forward P&L; and cash projection the founders and the board plan against.

– Return on every rupee — a ranked, evidence-backed view of what is actually earning: brand by brand, store by store, capex by capex, campaign by campaign. Overhead mapped to a department and a department head, with a return attached to it. Marketing judged on profit and incremental sales, not impressions. You are the one who calls out the leaks and says stop.

– Compliance — GST, TDS, income tax, FSSAI and store licenses, PF, ESI and PT, statutory audit and ROC filings.

– The function — a team of 2–3 that you shape, hire into, and set the standard for. HOW WE WANT IT DONE

Off spreadsheets. We expect you to use contemporary data tooling and AI the way a good finance team now does — automated pipelines from POS, aggregators and accounting into live dashboards that founders and department heads open themselves. If your instinct on being handed a manual monthly report is to have it automated by the next cycle, this role was written for you.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

– Chartered Accountant (ICAI) with 3–5 years post-qualification experience.

– Time inside multi-outlet F&B;, QSR, retail or food manufacturing — store or plant-level costing, hands on. Start-up ecosystem experience counts.

– You have personally done BOM costing, wastage tracking and inventory control, and built an MIS dashboard that people actually used.

– You are comfortable being on the floor — office, central kitchen and stores — not only in the reports. WHAT WE OFFER
