Role Overview:

The Head of Department (HOD) will provide academic leadership and strategic direction for the German language department. The role involves curriculum development, faculty supervision, quality assurance, and program visibility. The HOD will ensure excellence in instruction up to B2 level (CEFR) while fostering a high-performance teaching environment aligned with international standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement academic strategies and curriculum frameworks aligned with CEFR standards for the German language program.

- Mentor and evaluate trainers to improve teaching methodology, lesson delivery, and classroom management.

- Monitor student progress (A1–B2 levels) and maintain performance records while supporting underperforming students.

- Deliver advanced-level German instruction (up to B2) using modern teaching methods and digital tools.

- Design and standardize assessments, test papers, oral examinations, and grading systems.

- Coordinate with administrative teams for scheduling, batch planning, and academic operations.





- Support program growth through workshops, cultural events, and participation in academic and marketing initiatives.

Eligibility:

- Language Proficiency: Native or near-native German proficiency (C1/C2 preferred) with strong English communication skills.

- Experience: 5–10 years of German language teaching experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.

- Certification: Goethe-Zertifikat C1/C2, Telc, or equivalent recognized certification.

- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in German Language, Linguistics, or related field (preferred).
