About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned operations leader to head a large-scale Iron Ore Grinding Unit . The role will be responsible for commissioning, operations, maintenance, process optimization, reliability, production planning, safety, and overall plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead commissioning and stabilization of the grinding plant.
- Drive production targets and operational excellence.
- Optimize grinding circuit performance, throughput, recovery, and energy consumption.
- Lead preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance.
- Ensure high equipment availability and reliability.
- Oversee Ball Mills, SAG Mills, HPGR, Crushers, Hydrocyclones, Slurry Pumps, Conveyors, and Thickeners.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, quality, and project teams.
- Drive TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage plant budgets, consumables, grinding media, liners, and maintenance costs.
- Ensure statutory compliance, EHS standards,



and operational safety.
- Mentor and develop engineering, maintenance, and operations teams.

Qualifications

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Mineral Processing, Metallurgy, or Chemical Engineering.
- Postgraduate qualification in Mineral Processing, Operations, or Business Management is preferred.

Experience

- 20–30 years in iron ore beneficiation or mineral processing.
- Minimum 10 years in leadership roles.
- Experience in commissioning and operating large grinding units.
- Exposure to 5 MTPA+ beneficiation plants.
- Experience in large mining or steel projects preferred.
