Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate leader to establish and lead our Quality & Sustainability function. This role combines technical excellence in coffee production with landscape conservation, helping growers produce world-class specialty coffee while strengthening biodiversity, ecological resilience, and long-term farm profitability.

Based in Chikmagalur, Karnataka, the role involves frequent travel across Chikmagalur, Hassan and Kodagu.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the organisation's Quality, Agronomy and Sustainability functions.
- Develop and implement quality systems across cultivation, processing, cupping, storage and export.
- Establish and oversee the ReapAcres Coffee Cupping Laboratory.
- Guide growers in improving coffee quality, post-harvest practices and farm productivity.




- Develop and implement wildlife-friendly and nature-sustainable farming protocols.
- Lead research, innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build robust traceability and support compliance with international sustainability requirements, including EUDR.
- Develop partnerships with growers, buyers, research institutions and conservation organisations.
- Build and mentor a high-performing Quality & Sustainability team.

Qualifications

Essential

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Environmental Science, Coffee Science, Chemistry, Biology or a related discipline.
- Strong agronomy background.
- Proficiency in Kannada and English with excellent communication skills.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel extensively.

Desirable
- Coffee Q Grader qualification and cupping experience.
- Experience in specialty coffee, GIS, research, statistics, wildlife ecology and sustainability compliance.
