Mechanical Engineer — Trainee , Hyderabad, India | Full-time | Entry Level | Engineering / Piping Design

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer — Trainee to join our growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a fresh graduate or early-career engineer to build hands-on expertise in piping design and industrial plant layout using industry-standard tools like Autodesk Plant 3D. You will work closely with senior engineers on live projects, gaining practical exposure to real-world plant design workflows, standards, and best practices.

About the Role

As a trainee, you will be introduced to the full lifecycle of plant design — from reading P&IDs; and understanding equipment layouts to developing piping models in Autodesk Plant 3D. You will receive mentorship from experienced engineers and grow toward a full Plant 3D Design Engineer role over time.

Requirements

Education

→ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

Technical Knowledge

→ Basic knowledge of piping design concepts, components, and fittings

→ Familiarity with Autodesk Plant 3D and AutoCAD





→ Basic understanding of P&IDs; (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams)

→ Awareness of equipment layouts and industrial plant layouts

→ Basic understanding of piping standards and codes (ASME/ANSI)

Soft Skills

→ Genuine interest in plant engineering and industrial projects

→ Good communication and teamwork skills

→ Strong willingness to learn and grow in piping engineering

Preferred Qualifications

→ Training or certification in Autodesk Plant 3D

→ Internship or project experience in mechanical or piping design

→ Knowledge of piping isometrics and routing basics

→ Exposure to industrial projects during academics or internships
