Major Purpose of the Role
Establish and lead the Supply Chain Management Centre of Excellence (SCM COE) by standardizing supply chain processes, driving governance, implementing best practices, and enabling digital transformation across manufacturing plants and business units. The role will focus on enhancing end-to-end supply chain performance through Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP;), Integrated Business Planning (IBP), ERP optimization, analytics, and continuous improvement while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
SCM COE Strategy & Governance
Establish and lead the SCM Centre of Excellence (COE) framework across all manufacturing plants and business units.
Define standardized supply chain processes, governance frameworks, policies, SOPs, and best practices.
Drive process harmonization and operational excellence across procurement, planning, logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, and customer service.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
Supply Chain Performance Management
Define, monitor, and continuously improve Supply Chain KPIs across the organization.
Develop executive dashboards and analytics for Supply Chain performance monitoring.
Analyze trends, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.
Present periodic performance reviews to senior leadership.
Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP;) & Integrated Business Planning (IBP)
Lead implementation and continuous improvement of S&OP; and IBP processes.
Facilitate cross-functional planning meetings involving Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Procurement, Finance, QA, Regulatory Affairs, and Distribution.
Improve forecast accuracy, demand planning, inventory optimization,
and customer service levels.
Balance demand, supply, capacity, and inventory to support business growth.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Coordinate with Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, QA, Regulatory Affairs, Distribution, Finance, Commercial, and IT teams.
Drive collaborative decision-making to improve supply chain responsiveness and operational efficiency.
Resolve cross-functional bottlenecks impacting customer deliveries and manufacturing schedules.
Supply Chain Transformation
Lead strategic supply chain transformation initiatives aligned with business objectives.
Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement programs.
Identify automation and digitalization opportunities across the supply chain.
Implement best-in-class supply chain practices and benchmark against industry standards.
ERP & Digital Enablement
Partner with IT teams for implementation, enhancement, and optimization of SAP SCM modules.
Improve utilization of SAP PP, MM, WM/EWM, APO/IBP and other digital supply chain solutions.
Lead supply chain analytics, reporting automation, and data governance initiatives.
Promote digital dashboards and real-time performance monitoring.
Inventory & Forecast Optimization
Improve forecast accuracy and demand planning processes.
Optimize inventory levels while maintaining target service levels.
Increase inventory turns and reduce slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
Support working capital optimization initiatives.
Capability Building & Knowledge Management
Build and lead a high-performing SCM COE team.
Develop competency frameworks and training programs for supply chain professionals.
Drive knowledge sharing, best practice deployment, and capability development across locations.
Mentor and coach supply chain leaders on operational excellence.
Stakeholder Management
Partner with business leadership to align supply chain initiatives with strategic priorities.
Support global and regional supply chain projects.
Build solid relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Educational Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Pharmacy, Supply Chain, Operations, or related discipline.
MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Logistics preferred.
Experience
18–25 years of experience in Supply Chain Management within Pharmaceutical, API, Formulations, FMCG, Chemical, or Manufacturing industries.
Minimum 8–10 years in leadership roles managing supply chain transformation, planning, logistics, or COE functions.
Proven experience in implementing S&OP;, IBP, SAP SCM, and supply chain analytics.
