NAbout the Job:

NGnapi Technologies is seeking a high-impact GIS Consultant with deep expertise in ESRI Utility Network (UN) and GE Smallworld to lead and execute complex bi-directional data migrations. This role is critical for large-scale utility transformation programs involving legacy Smallworld systems and modern ESRI Utility Network architectures.

NWhat We Are Looking For:

NA highly motivated GIS professional with deep expertise in ESRI/Smallworld technologies, robust problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in complex enterprise environments

NWhat you'll Do:

N- Lead end-to-end GIS data migration between GE Smallworld and ESRI Utility Network

N- Analyze and map Smallworld schemas and data models to ESRI Utility Network

N- Design migration strategies for structure networks, domain networks, asset groups, asset types, and associations

N- Handle network topology, connectivity rules, containment, and association migration

N- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and post-migration quality checks

N- Support cutover, rollback, and delta migration strategies

N- Strong hands-on experience with ESRI Utility Network (UN)

N- Domain Networks, Structure Networks, Asset Groups & Asset Types

N- Network Rules, Associations, Connectivity & Containment

N- ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro

N- Strong understanding ofSmallworld GIS data models

N- Experience extracting and transforming Smallworld utility data





N- Exposure to Magik-basedenvironments

NMust Haves:

NData Migration & ETL:

N- Large-scale utility GISdata migration experience

N- FME or FME-alternative migration approaches

N- Python / ArcPy-based migration frameworks

N- GDAL/OGR and database-driven ETL

NDatabases & Automation:

N- Oracle Spatial, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL Server

N- Strong SQL and spatial query optimization

N- Python scripting for automation and validation

NAdded Advantage:

N- Live utility network migration experience

N- Utility Network mock and production cutover handling

N- Migration without heavydependency on FME

NGood to Have:

N- Experience working on live utility modernization or digital transformation programs

N- Hands-on exposure to Utility Network production deployments and real-time cutovers

N- Experience migrating electric, gas, water, or telecom utility networks

N- Knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise architecture, services publishing, and performance tuning

N- Familiarity with Magik scripting or Smallworld customization

N- Experience reducing dependency on FME through custom Python/ArcPy frameworks

N- Understanding of versioning, branch versioning, and multi-user editing workflows

N- Cloud exposure (Azure/AWS) for GIS deployments

N- Experience working in offshore–onsite or global delivery models

N- Strong stakeholder communication and client-facing consulting experience
