- Responsible for health, hygiene, and general welfare of hostel students
- Attend to health, sickness, sanitation, and cleanliness matters per guidelines
- Ensure hostel students follow hostel rules for guidance and decorum maintenance
- Manage discipline in the hostel following University s Disciplinary Procedures and Codes of Conduct
- Report serious disciplinary or alarming issues to Head of Hostel Administration Head of Student Affairs
- Assist in Hostel Administration and the admission process of recent students
- Establish and maintain appropriate social contact with students
- Provide relevant information about students when required
- Offer appropriate first aid support as needed
- Participate in crime prevention, health, and safety awareness initiatives
- Respond to on-site emergencies during out-of-hours
- Ensure a bullying and ragging-free hostel environment
- Conduct surprise rounds and checks of hostel rooms
- Produce written reports
