Position Summary The General Manager Finance & Accounts will be responsible for leading the Finance function across the organisation while acting as a strategic advisor to the Managing Director and business leadership.

The role extends beyond accounting and statutory compliance. The successful candidate will build a modern finance organisation that supports commercial decision-making, financial planning, governance, business performance, automation and long-term value creation.

The incumbent will also play a key role in strengthening financial discipline across television, digital, OTT, events and future business initiatives while preparing to assume broader CFO responsibilities over time.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Financial Leadership Develop and execute the organisation's financial strategy aligned with long-term business objectives.

Partner with the Managing Director and senior leadership on strategic investments, expansion initiatives and capital allocation.

Support commercial decision-making through financial analysis and business insights.

Build finance into a strategic business partner across all functions.

2. Financial Planning & Business Finance Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts.

Drive FP&A; across all business verticals.

Develop profitability dashboards by business unit, platform and product.

Evaluate ROI of strategic initiatives, new businesses and capital expenditure.

Support pricing, packaging and commercial decisions with financial analysis.

3. Accounting & Financial Reporting Ensure accurate accounting and timely financial reporting.

Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual closures.

Strengthen MIS and management reporting.

Present financial performance and strategic insights to leadership.

4. Working Capital Management Optimise cash flow and working capital.

Strengthen banking relationships.

Improve cash forecasting and fund utilisation.

5. Taxation,



Compliance & Governance Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.

Oversee Income Tax, GST, TDS, Companies Act and other applicable laws.

Lead statutory, tax and internal audits.

Strengthen governance through robust financial controls and policies.

6. Commercial Finance Analyse revenue performance across Television, Digital, OTT, Events and emerging businesses.

Evaluate advertising, sponsorship, subscription and content monetisation.

Recommend profitability improvement initiatives.

Partner with business leaders on investment and pricing decisions.

7. Finance Transformation Lead finance automation initiatives.

Strengthen ERP utilisation and process digitisation.

Improve month-end closing efficiency.

Develop dashboards for business and management.

Simplify legacy finance processes and standardise SOPs.

8. Procurement Governance Establish financial governance over procurement and capital expenditure.

Review procurement controls, spend analytics and vendor governance.

Strengthen approval processes and financial oversight.

Partner with Procurement to improve cost discipline.

9. Team Leadership Lead and develop the Finance & Accounts team.

Build succession plans and leadership capability.

Mentor second-line leaders.

Foster a culture of ownership, integrity and continuous improvement.
